How Rajesh Kumar Sharma scaled his Jaipur build business from 2 to 5 active sites — without hiring more office staff

The Challenge

In early 2024, Rajesh Kumar Sharma was running two residential projects in Jaipur — a G+4 in Mansarovar and a row-house cluster in Vaishali Nagar. Office staff was three people: Rajesh himself, his wife handling accounts, and one site engineer who covered both sites on rotation. It worked, but barely. Material reconciliation happened on Saturday evenings; mazdoor wages were a Sunday pen-and-paper exercise; and RERA quarterly filings were a Monday-night panic involving WhatsApp screenshots.

A mukadam padded attendance for 14 days in a row at Vaishali Nagar — caught only after wages had been paid. The Q1 RERA filing missed its deadline by 9 days because the engineer had gone home with the printed muster roll in his bag.

The Solution — Switching to Site Setu

Rajesh signed up for Site Setu's Professional plan in September 2024. The onboarding team migrated his existing Excel BOQs, contractor list and material vendor list into the system in 4 working days. By the end of week 2, all three site engineers and the two site supervisors were using the mobile app for daily attendance, photos and material logs.

Rajesh's wife, who handled accounts, no longer needed to chase site engineers for invoices; they came in pre-attached to RA bills.

For RERA, the quarterly filing went from a multi-day exercise to a 90-minute review. The DPRs, attendance and material data were already structured — Rajesh's compliance consultant just pulled the report directly from Site Setu and uploaded.

The next step is rolling out the client portal — letting flat buyers see real-time progress photos and milestone updates, which he expects will reduce booking-stage dropouts significantly.
